2021 KSEA West Gulf Coast Regional Conference

December 11, 2021 (Sat.), 12:30PM

Online via Zoom

Welcome

Dear Korean-American biomedical scientists and engineers,

Hopefully, everything is going well with you and your family during this COVID-19 pandemic era. On behalf of the conference organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to announce to you that we will virtually have the "2021 KSEA West Gulf Coast Regional Conference/15th Korean-American Bio-Medical Symposium (KABMS)” on December 11th, 2020 (Saturday, 12:30 PM).

The primary purpose of this conference is to generate a social network between Korean-American Scientists and Engineers and help their career development. We invite Dr. Bert W. O’Malley (Chancellor of Baylor College of Medicine) as the keynote speaker this year. Dr. O’Malley has discovered many grand-break conceptual advances to understand endocrinology and endocrine-related human disease progression. Thus, Dr. O’Malley has been known as the “father of molecular endocrinology” and got the National Medal of Science, one of the highest honors in the fields of science, 2007. Therefore, it is an excellent time for young scientists to listen to his long and outstanding experience in science and life. We also invited speakers who will present the current trends of their science and improve our career to be good scientists. Moreover, we have an oral presentation section for young scientists (post-doctoral trainees and graduate students) to expose themselves to the West Gulf Coast (Texas and Arkansas) Scientists Community and help to develop their scientific careers. In the oral presentation section, therefore, we prepared trainee research awards to recognize their achievements.

We sincerely hope you will join us in the 2021 KSEA West Gulf Coast Regional Conference and take lots of benefits for your future.
